  • Basics

    What the ACS is, the relevant visas for which skills assessment are (or might be) required, assessment pathways, manner of application, basic requirements and more.

  • Occupations

    A look into the 24 occupations assessed by ACS, their differences and overlap, the concept of “closely related” occupations, what occupations to choose for a skills assessment, when, why and who should choose.

  • Qualifications

    A discussion on the equivalence of overseas qualifications based on the CEP-NOOSR list and how the ACS uses it, the different types of qualifications such as Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree and Bachelor Degree, the concept of ICT Major and Minor, % of ICT content and how those aspects determine an applicant’s eligibility for a successful skills assessment application.

  • Skills Assessment Pathways

    A look into the different assessment pathways for different visa subclasses (485 skills assessment, Post Australian Study skills assessment, Skills Assessment (AKA ‘general skills assessment’), Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)), the work experience requirement and a discussion on the Skill Level Requirement Met Date for the purposes of claiming points for points-tested GSM visas.
